Claims Adjuster - Bodily Injury | Progressive, Inc. | Parsippany, NJ

The current New Jersey Casualty opportunities are intermediate level
positions and require one year of bodily injury claims handling
experience.
Progressive Casualty Representatives analyze, and determine the extent
of Progressive's liability concerning loss or damages, and attempt to
effect settlement with claimants. They correspond with or interview
medical specialists, agents, police, medical professionals, witnesses,
or claimants to compile information. They negotiate injury settlements
with claimants and attorneys. They calculate and execute payment of
claims. In most cases, the initial investigation has already been
completed and the property damage has been resolved.
Job requirements:
- A minimum of one-year experience handling injury claims.
- Bachelor's degree, or 6 years work experience of equally complex nature,
or some combination thereof.
- Ability to negotiate bodily injury settlements with represented and
unrepresented parties.
- Ability to work with defense counsel on litigated inventory.
- Demonstrated success handling multiple priorities.
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency operating computers and claims-related systems.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
